False Creek (North)


A waterfront community in the heart of Downtown Vancouver

Welcome to the north bank of False Creek, a key area of development in the Downtown core, from Burrard Bridge to Science World, along the full length of the Creek. The first is the section at the foot of Hornby St, between Burrard Bridge and Granville Bridge, built around the Sea Wall / marina and enjoying views across to Granville Island. Several good restaurants here, plus regular ferry service across to Granville Island for the Public Market and much more. 

The second is Concord Pacific’s Beach Crescent, all residential and built around its centre piece, George Wainborn Park.  The third is at the foot of Drake and Davie St adjacent to Yaletown, Concord Pacific’s Marinaside Community. Concord’s mandate from the city was to develop a balanced community not just more condominiums. Features include the Roundhouse community centre, David Lam Park, school, daycare, social housing and an extensive selection of retail outlets including Urban Fare supermarket. 

The fourth section from Cambie to Main is starting to take shape as gentrifying influences converge – Yaletown on one side extending alongside Coopers Park under Cambie bridge, Tinseltown to the North and Olympic Village across the water.

THE MARKET

Running west to east from Burrard Bridge there are four main sections along the north bank of False Creek. The first is between Burrard St Bridge and Granville St Bridge and was the first to be developed in the early 90’s. Most are high-end high-rise condominium complexes offering suites with attractive views across to Granville Island and larger rooms that in some of the more recent projects. Suites on the south side lower levels (below the 6th floor) can be especially popular here as the views are still unobstructed and they can be quieter than some suites on the higher floors, being below the level of the bridge traffic. 

The second section, between Granville St Bridge and David Lam Park is Concord Pacific’s Beach Crescent Community. This is exclusively residential. The closer you get to the water, the smaller and more exclusive the buildings, the higher the finishing and the larger the suites. The third section is between David Lam Park and Cambie Street Bridge. This is Concord’s Marinaside Community comprising over 20 buildings and offering the complete range of sizes and floorplans – from 550 square foot one bedroom suites to million dollar penthouses and water front townhomes.  

The fourth section, between Cambie Bridge and Science World is still taking shape with the Coopers Point area completed in 2008 and the final section east of the Plaza of Nations yet to be developed. Finally, at the very eastern end of the Creek, between Quebec St and Main St is Citygate. With an east side address expect more for your money here. What it lacks in amenities it makes up for in view. Being positioned at the very end of the Creek affords wonderful westerly vistas down the length of the Creek and towards English Bay.
